Put-away in the warehouse app

GuideLast checked on 15/10/2026

Distribute goods from the goods receipt and clarification bin to their storage bins by scan – with a put-away suggestion and a check of the storage rules.

Under Goods receipt → Put-away you move goods lying on the Goods receipt bin or the Clarification bin to their storage bin. The counter in the menu shows the number of units still to be put away.

Permission: Transfer stock and maintain replenishment. The booking is a transfer from the source bin to the target bin.

Step by step

  1. Tap Put-away. For each source bin you see which items are there and in what quantity. Use the arrow at the top right to reload.
  2. Scan item – or tap a row.
  3. Confirm the Quantity (suggested: everything on the source bin) and tap Continue to target bin.
  4. The app shows a Put-away suggestion: first bins where the item is already stored, otherwise a free bin according to the put-away strategy, with further bins below (full ones are marked "full").
  5. Scan target bin.
  6. The booking is confirmed, e.g. "12 pcs put away on A-01-03", and the list updates.

Scanning

The item scan recognises item number, EAN/GTIN, GS1 codes and pack EAN – limited to the items currently on the put-away bins. For a GS1 code with a wrong check digit the app reports "wrong check digit – please scan again".
