Collective transfer in the warehouse app

GuideLast checked on 15/10/2026

Pick up goods from several bins with a cart, pallet or container and distribute them to target bins – or transfer the entire carrier with one scan.

Under Internal → Collective transfer you move a lot of goods in one go: you load them from several bins onto a carrier (cart, pallet, container) and then distribute them to the target bins. While the goods are on the carrier, they are booked there – so you can always see what is where.

Booking requires the permission Collective transfer with a carrier and transfer an entire carrier. Without it you can view carriers but not load anything. To Retire a carrier you need Create, label and retire carriers (trolleys, pallets, containers).

Step by step

  1. Tap Collective transfer and scan the carrier (label of the cart, pallet or container). Alternatively, choose it under All carriers.
  2. You see the carrier's contents. Now:
    • Scan a bin = pick up
    • Scan or tap an item = distribute

Picking up

  1. Scan the source bin.
  2. Scan the item or tap it.
  3. Enter the Quantity. For batch items, choose the Batch – the default is Automatic by FEFO (earliest best-before date first); expired or blocked batches are marked.
  4. Tap Load onto …. If there is still something on the bin, you stay there; otherwise tap Done with ….

Distributing

  1. On the start page, scan an item that is on the carrier (or tap it).
  2. Confirm the quantity, then Continue to target bin.
  3. Scan the target bin – the app shows a put-away suggestion.

Everything to one bin

With Transfer whole cart / Transfer whole pallet / Transfer whole container and one scan of the target bin, you move the entire content to one bin.

Further buttons: Print label (storage bin label of the carrier), Other carrier and – when the carrier is empty – Retire. A retired carrier can no longer be scanned; its bookings are kept.

Scanning

  • Items via item number or EAN/GTIN, also from GS1 codes.
  • A carrier is a bin of the type "mobile" – normal shelf bins are rejected in the first step.

Common errors

MessageSolution
"… is not a carrier. Please scan a cart, pallet or container."Scan the carrier's label, not that of a shelf bin. You create new carriers under Carriers.
"… is the carrier itself."Scan a shelf bin as the source.
"There is nothing to pick up on …."Scan a different bin.
Note Stock has been on it for a long timeGoods have been on the carrier for over 4 h – nothing is picked from there. Please distribute them.
