Menu, settings and locking in the warehouse app

GuideLast checked on 18/10/2026

The warehouse app's side menu with workflow search, change warehouse, sound, voice output, install app and register device – plus light/dark, desktop, switch user, lock and sign out.

You reach all workflows of the warehouse app via the side menu. At the bottom of the menu are the settings and the footer with display and session options.

The menu

  • Open: menu icon at the top left of every screen – or swipe right from the left edge of the screen. On large screens with a mouse (from 1024 px wide) the menu is docked permanently on the left.
  • Top: time and date, below it the selected warehouse with change.
  • Search process…: type a keyword, e.g. "delivery note", "label" or "serial shipping". Enter opens the first match.
  • Groups: Dashboard, Goods receipt, Goods issue, Internal, Returns and Settings. Tapping a group expands or collapses it; the group of the currently open workflow is already expanded. The number on a collapsed group shows its open tasks, such as open delivery notes or pick lists.
  • Standard warehouse: workflows that need storage bins (e.g. Put-away, Stock transfer, Replenishment) do not appear there at all. If you change the warehouse, the menu rebuilds immediately.
  • Only enabled entries: if you lack a permission or the add-on module is not booked (e.g. Production for Provide material), the entry does not appear at all. Groups without entries are omitted.

Change warehouseList of your warehouses. Your choice is remembered.
Sound and vibrationTurn feedback when scanning on or off
Voice outputRead out important messages (only on this device, off by default)
VoiceFemale, male or a specific voice of the device – with a preview. Which voices are available depends on the device and browser
Full screen on startHides the browser bars (like F11). The browser only allows this after the first tap – that's why the warehouse app switches to full screen on the first tap. Esc or F11 ends it until the page is reloaded. On by default
Lock after inactivityAfter off / 1 / 2 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 30 minutes without interaction (tapping, keys, scanning) the warehouse app locks itself – see below. Applies only to this device, off by default. On a shared warehouse device the device profile sets the time; the selection is then read-only
Full-screen shortcutFor fixed workstations: a desktop shortcut that starts the warehouse app without a window frame – see Full screen and full-screen shortcut
Install appAdd the warehouse app to the home screen. On iPhone/iPad: "Share" → "Add to Home Screen". If it is already installed, the entry is missing.

Warehouse App helpopens this help in a new tab

This device: enter a name and, if needed, turn on Shared warehouse device – the device then locks after inactivity (default 5 minutes). You set the device's warehouse, bins, printers and scale in the desktop app under Warehouse settings → Devices & workstations. Sign-in is always with your own email and password.

Help on every screen

At the top right of every screen there is a ?. It opens the help page for the current workflow in a new tab – the warehouse app stays open.

Locking and unlocking

Lock locks your session on the server, but the session remains. A Locked window with your name covers the app – even after the page is reloaded. While locked, allverto accepts no bookings from this device.

  1. Enter your Password and tap Unlock – you are right back where you were.
  2. If the session expired while locked (automatic sign-out after inactivity keeps running), the password signs you in again. With two-factor protection the app then asks for the Code from the authenticator app.
  3. The window also offers Switch user and Sign out.

Automatic locking after inactivity

After the set time without interaction, the same Locked window appears as with the Lock button – the page stays visible underneath and full screen is kept. While the window is shown the timer pauses; after unlocking it starts again.

  • Your own device: Menu → Settings → Lock after inactivity (off by default).
  • Shared warehouse device: in the desktop app under Warehouse settings → Devices & workstations, in the device profile: Lock after … minutes of inactivity (default 5) and Lock instead of signing out when inactive (on by default). If the switch is off, the device signs out instead. The profile takes precedence over the setting on the device.
  • The company's automatic sign-out (Security and sign-in) remains the upper limit: if it expired while locked, the password in the lock window signs you in again.

Switching user

Switch (or Switch user in the lock window) ends the locked session and signs the new person in in the same window: email, password and code if required. As long as nothing has been submitted, Back to unlock takes you back.
