Warehouse cockpit in the warehouse app

GuideLast checked on 15/10/2026

The home page of the warehouse app – scan field for stock enquiries, quick start with your most-used workflows, warehouse key figures and notes on what is urgent right now.

The Warehouse cockpit is the home page of the warehouse app (menu → Dashboard → Warehouse cockpit). It shows at a glance what needs doing in the selected warehouse and takes you to the right workflow with one tap.

The cockpit needs no permission of its own. Tiles and notes only lead to workflows your role is allowed to use, though – otherwise they cannot be tapped.

Layout from top to bottom

  1. Scan item or bin – the scan field at the top. A scan immediately opens the stock enquiry for that item or bin.
  2. Quick start – four workflows: first the ones you use most often on this device, otherwise Picking, Packing, Goods receipt, Put-away. The card shows the number of open tasks ("3 open"). All workflows opens the side menu.
  3. Pick quick access – pick list templates with quick access: one tap creates the pick list and opens it (see Picking).
  4. Pick waves – running waves with progress ("2 of 5 pick lists") and a countdown to the pickup time.
  5. Check bins – bins where a shortage was reported during picking. They are not planned until they have been checked. Take a look and tap Checked.
  6. Key figures – Open pick lists, Ready to ship, Picked today / Shipped today (yours and everyone's), Open goods receipts, To put away (units on the goods receipt and clarification bin), Open returns, Replenishment due, Open stocktakes. Tapping a tile opens the workflow.
  7. Notes – e.g. goods on the clarification bin, forgotten carriers, failed print jobs, expired or soon-to-expire batches, locked bins with stock, bins not counted for a long time, open outbound transfers, material for production. If there is nothing to do, it says "All good".
  8. Information – My recent bookings in this warehouse and Device and warehouse: warehouse management (WMS, scan required when picking), when the print agent last reported and app version. Production operations run in the production app – in the menu under Internal → Open production app.

Selecting a warehouse

If no warehouse has been selected yet, the cockpit first shows Select warehouse. The app remembers your choice; you can change it in the menu (see Warehouse app settings).
