Stock decrease in the warehouse app

Under Internal → Stock decrease you reduce the stock on a bin, for example for breakage, shrinkage or when goods are missing. Every stock decrease needs a Reason and is recorded in the movement journal. Goods that are merely damaged and stay in the warehouse are better rebooked with Change condition.

You need the permission Negative adjustment in the warehouse app (reduce stock with a correction reason). Without it, the menu item is not shown.

#Step by step

1. Tap Stock decrease in the menu – or Minus in the stock enquiry.
2. Scan storage bin. There must be goods on the bin. A standard warehouse has no bins – this step is skipped and the booking is made directly from the warehouse.
3. Scan item or tap it in the list.
4. If there are several batches on the bin, choose the Batch. Without mandatory batches, Automatic (earliest best-before date first) is also possible.
5. Enter the Quantity – at most as much as is on the bin or in the batch.
6. For items with serial numbers, choose the Serial numbers to be booked out. What happens to them is defined by the adjustment reason: missing (e.g. shrinkage, theft, loss) or defective (e.g. breakage). This is set in the ERP under Warehouse settings → Adjustment reasons.
7. Choose the Reason (required) and enter a Comment if needed.
8. Under Open picks / reserved you see whether the goods are needed. Tap − … book.

If open pick lists need the goods or the item is reserved for orders, the app shows a warning, for example "Open pick lists need 4 from this bin – afterwards only 1 will be left here." Confirm with Book anyway or go back with Cancel.

#Scanning

• Items via EAN/GTIN, item number, GS1 code or pack EAN – the search covers the items on the bin. A pack pre-fills the quantity with its unit count.
• If you scan a different bin, the app switches to that bin.
