Warehouse tab: stock, reorder point, fixed bins

ReferenceLast checked on 15/10/2026

What you set and see in the Warehouse tab of the item window – stock item, reorder point, procurement type, minimum order quantity, mandatory details, pack EAN, fixed bins, stock levels and movements.

In the Warehouse tab of the item window you control how allverto keeps track of an item's stock, and you see where it is stored and what has happened to it.

Stock keeping

FieldMeaning
Stock itemOn: stock is tracked. Off: no stock tracking, e.g. for services or vouchers. The window title then shows Not a stock item. You can only switch it off when there is no stock – otherwise the switch is locked and the tooltip shows the quantity in stock.
Reorder pointIf available stock falls below it, the item appears in the purchase suggestions and on the dashboard.
Procurement typePurchasing (replenishment via purchase suggestions), In-house production (production orders based on the bill of materials, suggestions from planning) or Contract manufacturing (a fulfiller manufactures from your raw materials; you then choose Contract manufacturing at below). For in-house and contract manufacturing, the Production tab appears.
Minimum order quantitySmallest quantity a customer should buy.
Order intervalStep size from the minimum order quantity, e.g. minimum 6, interval 6 → can be ordered in 6, 12, 18 …
Packing unitQuantity per pack.

Mandatory details when posting

Here you switch on whether a Serial number, a Batch or a best-before date is requested when posting – at goods receipt in the warehouse app, for incoming stock and in production. Outgoing postings take batches automatically according to FEFO (first expired, first out). More in Batches and best-before dates.

Pack EAN

In the Pack EAN card you store the EAN of a carton or pack with the number of pieces and optionally a name (e.g. "Carton"). When someone scans this EAN in the warehouse app, the whole quantity is counted. allverto checks the check digit. Packs can also be assigned directly while scanning in the warehouse app – see Quantity and packs.

Fixed bins and putaway

The Fixed bins and putaway card appears as soon as there is a WMS warehouse. For each warehouse it shows the item's fixed bins with Prio., Min, Max and the current Stock:

  • Fixed bins are suggested first when putting away in the warehouse app. The fixed bin with priority 1 is also the Default bin (for POS, production and labels).
  • If you enter both minimum and maximum quantity, the fixed bin also serves as the bin's replenishment rule (marked Replenishment).
  • Preferred bin type for free bins controls which bins are suggested when no fixed bin fits.

Via Edit… you choose the warehouse and maintain the fixed bins. Without fixed bins, allverto suggests bins that already hold the item, previous bins and free bins.

Stock per warehouse

The Stock per warehouse card shows the total, reserved and available stock at the top, and below that the stock per warehouse:

  • A standard warehouse shows only the quantity.
  • A WMS warehouse shows the individual bins with the bin code (neutral chip with a blue pin), Default bin, walking route, replenishment rule, a block (Blocked) and any open stocktaking.

Right-click a row (or use the … button) to correct stock (plus/minus, standard warehouse only) or create a stocktaking. Goods receipt, putaway, transfers and counting are done in the warehouse app (see WMS warehouse and standard warehouse).

Below that, where applicable, come the item's batches and the Movements table with time, type, bin, quantity, order, note and user.

Key figures in the General tab

The Key figures card in the General tab summarises: Stock, Reserved (in open orders), Available, Reorder point, revenue and quantity sold in the last 30 days, and the last movement. If "Available" is at or below the reorder point, the value is highlighted in colour.

Frequently asked questions

Why can't I type in the stock directly here?

In allverto, stock always results from postings (goods receipt, correction, shipping …). This keeps it traceable who posted what and when. How to correct stock is explained in Correct stock.

Where did the "Default bin" field go?

The default bin is now the fixed bin with priority 1 in the Fixed bins and putaway card.
