More tabs in the item window: shipping & customs, channels, listings
What the Shipping & customs (with packaging), Sales channels, Listings, Cross-selling and Custom fields tabs of the item window contain – and what the History button shows.
Besides General, Prices and Warehouse, the item window has further tabs for shipping, channels, linked items and additional fields. You open the History via the button at the bottom of the window.
Shipping & customs
| Card | Fields |
|---|---|
| Weight & dimensions | Item weight and Shipping weight (with packaging) in grams, Shipping class, Length, Width, Height in mm |
| Packaging | Is packaging (cardboard) switch or – for normal items – the Shipping packaging (see below) |
| Customs | Customs tariff number (HS/CN code, 6–11 digits), Country of origin (ISO code, e.g. DE) |
| Dangerous goods | Dangerous goods switch; if on, the four-digit UN number and the Hazard class under ADR |
Shipping uses the shipping weight for labels and – when packing in the warehouse app – for splitting across several parcels by weight (see Set up shipping methods). You create shipping classes (e.g. parcel, bulky goods, letter) under Items → Settings → Shipping classes.
Packaging
- Is packaging (cardboard) – the item is packaging material (carton, mailing bag, padding). allverto creates a matching packaging under Shipping → Settings → Packaging; the packaging's stock and purchase price come from this item. The card shows Type, Dimensions (outer), Tare weight and the Shipping methods; Edit packaging… opens the packaging. If stock keeping is off, allverto points this out – without stock, the packaging is not deducted when shipping and is missing from the purchase suggestions.
- Shipping packaging – for normal items: the item is always shipped in this packaging. – shipping method rule – lets the shipping method's packaging rules decide.
Anyone with the permission Manage carriers and senders may flip the switch; anyone allowed to View orders sees the list of packaging. The switch is available once the item has been saved.
Sales channels
One row per connected channel:
- Active – whether the item is offered in this channel.
- Overselling – toggle on: the channel keeps selling the item even when there is no stock left. allverto then reports at least the quantity shown next to the toggle to the channel (default 10 pcs), or the real available stock if it is higher. Toggle off (default): only the available stock is reported; at 0 the item is sold out in the channel.
- Custom title – empty = item name.
- Gross price – empty = normal sales price. This is the same value as under Prices → Channel prices.
- Listing – shows whether the item is listed in the channel and when it was last synced.
Overselling is suitable for items you can reorder or produce at any time. Orders without stock arrive as normal orders; the item then shows a negative value under Available in the item list and the state Oversold until goods come in.
Right-click a row: Activate/deactivate in this channel, Remove channel price, Sync now, Copy listing ID. No channel connected yet? The Connect sales channel link takes you to the settings (see Connect shops and marketplaces).
Listings
The Listings tab lists the item's marketplace listings on Amazon, eBay, OTTO and Kaufland – with identifier, status and the marketplace's message. Price and quantity come from the rule of the respective listing. You can create and manage listings in the menu Sales → Marketplace listings. Without a connected marketplace, a note here points to Settings → Sales channels.
Cross-selling
Here you link other items per cross-selling group (e.g. accessories, similar items, spare parts):
- In the group's card, click Add item… and search by item number, name or EAN.
- The trash can removes a link; clicking the name opens the linked item.
- Save the item – the links are saved with it. The allverto shop shows them after the next sync.
You create the groups under Items → Settings → Cross-selling groups; if there are none yet, the Create cross-selling groups link takes you there.
Custom fields
This tab shows the additional fields your company has created for items – sorted by group, mandatory fields with an asterisk. If there are none yet, Create custom fields takes you to Items → Settings → Custom fields. See Custom fields.
History
The History button at the bottom of the item window opens a popup with all changes: Time, Type (master data, price, stock, image), Change and User. Stock postings only appear if you are allowed to View stock. Use the search field to search the history. For a new item that hasn't been saved yet, the button isn't available.
