Company details, logo and e-invoice

GuideLast checked on 15/10/2026

Maintain the sender details for invoices and other documents, and set up bank details, the small business scheme, company logo, email sender and the e-invoice format.

The company details appear as the sender on every invoice, credit note, quote and delivery note – and in the e-invoice. Without complete mandatory details, allverto does not issue invoices.

Before you start

The company details can be changed by anyone with the "Edit company details" permission – by default only the owner (the Administration role does not have this permission). Roles with "View quotes, delivery notes and invoices" can only view the companies (right-click → View).

Step by step: enter company details

  1. Click the gear icon at the top right and open Companies (group General).
  2. Double-click your default company (star) – it contains the existing company details. Multiple companies in the same tenant are explained in Multiple companies in one tenant.
  3. Master data tab:
    • Name in lists, Code
    • Company name with legal form, Street and house number, Postcode, City, Country, optionally Website (optional)
    • Contact person, Phone, Email for questions about documents – mandatory for the e-invoice
  4. Tax & register tab:
    • VAT ID or Tax number – one of them is mandatory
    • Small business switch – if you are a small business under § 19 UStG (German small business scheme, no VAT charged), allverto issues this company's invoices without VAT and with a note
    • optionally Register court, Register number, Management, Creditor ID (for direct debit) and EORI number (for customs shipments)
    • optionally Further VAT IDs in other countries with the Use on documents for this country switch
    • optionally Consultant number and Client number at DATEV for this company's DATEV export
  5. Bank tab: IBAN, optionally BIC and Bank (for a German IBAN, allverto pre-fills both), further bank accounts, the Collection account for SEPA direct debits as well as Payment terms and how long Quotes valid for.
  6. Letterhead & logo tab: logo (see below), Additional letterhead line (optional), Closing text on documents (optional) and, for emailing documents, Sender name (optional) and Reply address (optional). Which mailbox the documents are sent from and with which text is described under Email sending and Email templates.
  7. Save. If anything is still missing for invoices, allverto tells you exactly what – the list shows "Complete" or "… missing" per company in the Required details column.

The footer of the documents automatically shows the company's address, register, management, tax numbers and bank details.

In the company's Letterhead & logo tab, use Upload logo to upload a PNG or JPG of up to 512 KB. It appears at the top right of all newly issued quotes, delivery notes and invoices of this company. Invoices already issued remain unchanged. Use Upload a different logo to replace it and the remove button to delete it – new documents then show the company name. For a new company, upload the logo after creating it.

E-invoice

In the E-invoice tab you choose the Format for new invoices, credit notes and cancellations of this company: ZUGFeRD (PDF with XML), XRechnung (separate XML), ZUGFeRD and XRechnung or No e-invoice (private customers only). Documents already issued remain unchanged (GoBD).

  • A different format can be chosen on the customer. Without their own setting, private customers only receive the PDF; public-sector clients always receive an XRechnung with a Leitweg-ID (routing ID).
  • If statutory mandatory details are missing, an invoice cannot be issued. If something is only missing for the e-invoice (e.g. contact person, phone, IBAN), allverto asks and records the confirmation in the validation report.

Taxes, currency and document numbers

  • Tax rates, tax classes, the Taxation on documents, OSS and the delivery threshold are under gear icon → Taxes & language – see Taxes & language and OSS report.
  • The home currency is euro. You set up quotes, orders and invoices in foreign currencies under Currencies.
  • What invoice numbers look like is set under Number ranges; separate numbers per company in the company's Number ranges tab.
