Change log
See who changed what and when – as a table with period, area, search, jump to the record and CSV export for auditors.
allverto automatically records changes to important data: who, when, what – with the old and the new value. This helps when questions come up ("Who changed the price?") and makes everything traceable for tax advisors and auditors.
Before you start
The log is visible to roles with the permission "View change log" (usually Owner and Administration).
Open the log
Click the gear at the top right and open Change log. The entries are shown as a table, newest first, with the columns Time (with seconds), Person, Area, Action, Changes (the changed fields) and the optional columns Record and Technical (table:action). Use Columns to show and hide columns; allverto remembers their order and width. If the change came via the API, it shows API: with the name of the key; access by allverto support is shown as allverto support.
The default is the last 30 days. In the toolbar you choose another Period, an Area (only areas with entries in the period) and use Search to search person, record and the content of the change (e.g. an email address or invoice number). The footer counts the entries; if there are older ones, Load older entries loads the next ones – entries created in the same second (e.g. during a dunning run) are not lost.
CSV export downloads all entries with the current filters (at most 10,000) as a CSV file – with time, person, area, action, record and changes in the language of the interface, e.g. for your tax advisor or a tax audit.
What is logged?
- Changes to master data such as items, customers, warehouses and bins
- Orders, purchase orders, returns, subscriptions and their status changes
- Settings, e.g. number ranges, company details, sales channels, finance settings
- Users and roles: invitations (who invited whom with which role, resent or revoked), accepted invitations, role changes, locks
- Finance: payments, cash discounts, write-offs and their reversal, reminders and their dispatch, matches in payment matching and bank statements, G/L account postings, actions on supplier invoices and their DATEV journal, DATEV exports, SEPA mandates and direct debit batches
- Sign-ins and sign-outs, support access
Many windows (e.g. items, orders, customers) also show the same information directly in the History tab or section.
Filter and jump
Right-click an entry:
| Entry | Effect |
|---|---|
| Open order, Open item, Open customer … (otherwise a greyed-out Open record with the reason) | opens the record or the matching settings page |
| Only entries by … | shows only this person's changes |
| Only area "…" | shows only entries from this area, e.g. orders, items, customers, warehouses, users, invitations, roles, company details, number ranges, sales channels, supplier invoices, reminders or sign-ins |
| Copy changes (JSON) | copies the details, e.g. for a question to support |
The person filter appears as a chip at the top ("Person: …"); remove it with the X on the chip. Set the area back to All areas in the Area selection.
