Connect eBay
Connect your eBay seller account (ebay.de, ebay.at, ebay.co.uk and other eBay marketplaces) to allverto via the eBay sign-in – orders, stock and prices of Inventory API listings, shipping notifications with tracking number.
allverto connects your eBay seller account via eBay's Sell APIs. To do this, you sign in to eBay once and grant allverto access – you don't have to type in any keys.
What is synced?

- Matching: via the SKU of the eBay listing (in Seller Hub "Custom label (SKU)"). Set it to the same value as the item number in allverto.
- Discounts from eBay promotions are deducted from the line item price, shipping costs become a separate line item. allverto takes the tax rate from the item.
- Order note: the buyer's message, eBay user ID and sales record number.
- Cancellations and refunds: if eBay cancels the order or it is fully refunded, the open order is cancelled.
Before you start
- Connecting is allowed for roles with the "Connect sales channels" permission (usually Owner and Administration).
- You need the sign-in details of your eBay seller account.
Step by step: connect to eBay
- In allverto: Sales area → Settings at the bottom left → in the Sales settings window under Channels, the Sales channels item.
- Click Connect marketplace and choose eBay. If eBay is already listed under "Shops and marketplaces not yet connected", click Connect shop on its card instead – previous orders stay assigned.
- Enter the Name in allverto, choose the eBay marketplace (default ebay.de; also ebay.at, ebay.ch, ebay.co.uk, ebay.ie, ebay.fr, ebay.it, ebay.es, ebay.nl, ebay.be and ebay.pl) and an Order colour. To try things out with an eBay test account, switch on eBay sandbox (eBay's test environment instead of live).
- Click Connect to eBay. eBay opens its sign-in; sign in and agree to access to orders and inventory.
- eBay sends you back to allverto. allverto checks the connection, creates the channel and fetches the first orders straight away.
Reporting shipments
On shipping, allverto reports the order's still-open line items as shipped – with carrier (DHL, DHL Express, Deutsche Post, DPD, GLS, Hermes, UPS, FedEx) and tracking number. Without a label, allverto only reports the order as shipped, without tracking. allverto does not pass on labels from the test environment.
Stock, prices and overselling
- allverto reports the available stock to the inventory and listing. If overselling is allowed (item window → Sales channels tab → Overselling slider), at least the configured quantity.
- The price (the item's channel price, otherwise the sales price) goes to the SKU's fixed-price listings on the selected eBay marketplace. allverto does not change auctions. On ebay.ch, ebay.co.uk and ebay.pl, allverto converts the price at the daily rate (company rate, otherwise ECB rate, see Currencies) into CHF, GBP or PLN; if a rate is missing, the price there stays unchanged and the log states the reason.
- Change marketplace: right-click the eBay card → Connection settings… → eBay marketplace. At eBay, listings, shipping, return and payment policies and the inventory apply per marketplace.
Renewing the authorisation (every 18 months)
An eBay authorisation is valid for 18 months. About a month before it expires, Test connection warns you; after that the sync reports "The eBay authorisation has expired". You can see how long it is valid under right-click on the eBay card → Connection settings…. To renew it, click Reconnect with eBay there. The channel, orders and settings are kept.
Managing the connection
Everything else (sync, log, pause, disconnect) works as for the other channels, see Connect shops and marketplaces. Every sync appears in the sync log, in the System log and in the Sync overview.
Frequently asked questions
An order arrives with "Unknown item number".
The eBay listing has no SKU or a different one from the item number in allverto. Enter the item number as the SKU in Seller Hub; until then allverto takes over the line item as a free line item.
"eBay is currently limiting requests"
allverto waits automatically and tries again; whatever doesn't work is picked up by the next sync.
Can I create new listings on eBay from allverto?
Yes, under Sales → Marketplace listings – individually or via templates with category and attribute mapping as well as price and quantity rules. See Marketplace listings. Such listings run via the Inventory API; allverto then syncs stock and price automatically.
