Connect Amazon

GuideLast checked on 18/10/2026

Connect your Amazon seller account (EU marketplaces) to allverto via Seller Central – orders, FBA orders, stock, prices, shipping confirmation with tracking number and automatic invoice upload.

allverto connects your Amazon seller account via the Selling Partner API (SP-API). To do this, you sign in to Seller Central once and authorise allverto – you don't type in any credentials.

What is synced?

DirectionWhatWhen
Amazon → allvertoOrders from all selected EU marketplaces as soon as they are paid ("Unshipped")every 2 minutes
Amazon → allvertoFBA orders (Fulfilled by Amazon) as already shippedevery 2 minutes
allverto → Amazonavailable stock per seller SKU (not for FBA)every 10 minutes and after stock postings
allverto → Amazonprice (channel price from the item) on every selected marketplace, converted outside the eurotogether with stock
allverto → Amazonshipping confirmation with carrier and tracking numberon shipping
allverto → Amazoninvoices, credit notes and cancellation invoices as PDF for the orderafter finalising, within a few minutes
allverto → Amazoncancellations you trigger in allverto (whole line items, with cancellation reason)within a few minutes
Amazon → allvertoreturnsafter Activate in the Sync overview, hourly by default
  • Matching: Amazon offers are matched via the seller SKU to the item number. So create the SKU in Seller Central identical to the item number in allverto.
  • Pending orders (not yet paid) are not fetched by allverto yet; they arrive as soon as Amazon releases them.
  • Cancellations are taken over by allverto: if Amazon cancels an open order, the order is cancelled. Conversely, allverto reports cancellations from allverto to Amazon; which cancellation reason is sent to Amazon is set under Mappings (payment method, customer group, cancellation)… (see Mappings).
  • The order's note: marketplace (e.g. amazon.fr), Prime, Amazon Business and the latest ship date.

Before you start

  • Roles with the "Connect sales channels" permission can connect channels (usually Owner and Administration).
  • You need the primary account (owner) of your Amazon seller account. Only it can authorise apps.
  • Create the seller SKU of your offers identical to the item number in allverto.

Step by step: connect to Amazon

  1. In allverto: Sales area → Settings at the bottom left → in the Sales settings window under Channels, the Sales channels item.
  2. Click Connect marketplace and choose Amazon. If Amazon is already listed under "Shops and marketplaces not yet connected" (e.g. with older orders), click Connect shop on its card instead – existing orders stay assigned.
  3. Sign in via Amazon is selected at the top. Enter the Name in allverto and tick the Marketplaces – besides the EU marketplaces also amazon.co.uk (United Kingdom) and amazon.com.tr (Turkey). The first marketplace selected is the main marketplace (marked as such): for it, allverto reads the offers; allverto reports prices to all selected marketplaces.
  4. Turn the Import FBA orders switch on or off (see below) and choose an Order colour.
  5. Click Connect with Amazon. Seller Central opens; sign in and confirm the authorisation for allverto.
  6. Amazon redirects you back to allverto. allverto checks the connection, creates the channel and fetches the first orders immediately.

Customer data (name, address, email)

Amazon only releases name, street and email to apps that have the Direct-to-Consumer Shipping role. Without it, orders arrive only with postcode, city and country; the order then shows a notice, and Test connection shows a warning. In this case you can see the name and street in Seller Central. Labels cannot be created without an address.

Anonymising buyer data after shipping

The Amazon Data Protection Policy allows personal buyer data to be stored for at most 30 days after shipping. For Amazon channels Anonymise buyer data after shipping is therefore switched on with 30 days – you can see and change it in the channel settings and under Sales → Settings → Customer groups & labels. Every night allverto removes the following from orders shipped or cancelled longer ago than the period:

  • name, address, email and phone in the delivery and billing address as well as customer reference, VAT ID and the customer note,
  • texts and attachments of marketplace messages (the conversation with status and times remains),
  • shipping and return labels (the tracking number remains),
  • personal values in the change, email and confirmation logs,
  • the customer record if the customer consists only of such orders – customers with orders from other channels, documents without an order, subscriptions or POS receipts stay unchanged.

The country of delivery, line items, amounts, tax data and numbers are kept. Invoices, credit notes and other documents stay unchanged – they must be retained for up to 10 years, which the Amazon policy also allows. Orders with an open return wait until the return is completed. The order then shows Buyer data anonymised on …; a deleted label can no longer be printed. Every run is recorded with its counts in the system log.

FBA: Fulfilled by Amazon

  • allverto only imports FBA orders once Amazon has shipped them – as an order with status Shipped, shipping method "Amazon (FBA)" and the note do not pick.
  • They don't reserve stock, don't appear in picking and are never reported back to Amazon. They count normally in reports.
  • FBA stock is managed by Amazon. allverto only reads it (it appears in the sync) and never overwrites it.
  • If you don't want FBA orders in allverto, turn off Import FBA orders (right-click the Amazon card → Connection settings…).

Stock, prices and overselling

  • allverto reports the available stock of your warehouse to all selected marketplaces. If overselling is allowed (item window → Sales channels tab → Overselling slider), at least the configured quantity.
  • The price (the item's channel price, otherwise the sales price, gross in each case) goes to every selected marketplace in its currency. For amazon.pl, amazon.se, amazon.co.uk and amazon.com.tr, allverto converts the euro price at the daily rate (company rate, otherwise ECB rate, see Currencies) into PLN, SEK, GBP or TRY. If a rate is missing, the price on that marketplace stays unchanged and the sync log states the reason.
  • allverto sends up to 20 changes individually; with more items, all at once as a feed. Amazon processes feeds with some delay; Amazon then reports rejected offers in Seller Central.

Confirm shipping

On shipping, allverto reports the order as shipped with carrier and tracking number. allverto translates DHL, Deutsche Post, DPD, GLS, Hermes, UPS and FedEx into the Amazon codes; DHL Express and freight forwarders are sent as "Other carrier" with their name. Amazon requires a tracking number – create a label first. allverto does not pass on labels from the test environment.

Seller Fulfilled Prime: ship-by date and labels via Amazon

The ship-by date (latest shipping date according to Amazon) and the Prime flag are separate fields on the order – no longer a note. In the order list the Ship by column shows the date (red when exceeded) with the Prime flag; on the left you find the filters Ship today and Ship-by date exceeded. With equal priority, pick lists take the earliest date first.

For your own Amazon orders (not FBA) you buy shipping labels directly via Amazon (“Buy Shipping”): right-click the order → Shipping → Buy label via Amazon…. allverto shows the carriers’ offers with price and delivery date, suggests one according to the channel rules and stores the label like any other. Amazon confirms the shipment itself when you buy; allverto books the order as shipped. For several orders at once allverto buys automatically according to the rules.

Set the rules under Sales channels → Amazon card → Connection settings…: Buy shipping labels via Amazon, allowed carriers, maximum per label, cheapest or fastest offer and default package dimensions.

Upload invoices to Amazon

Amazon requires sellers who write their own invoices to upload every invoice to the order – customers then download it directly in their Amazon account. allverto does this automatically.

What is uploaded?

  • Finalised invoices for Amazon orders – for orders you ship yourself and for FBA.
  • Invoice corrections (credit notes) and cancellation invoices for these invoices (as a credit note at Amazon).
  • Never draft invoices or pro forma invoices – only finalising triggers the upload.

Exactly the archived PDF of the document is uploaded, with invoice number, total amount and included VAT. Amazon checks the document and usually confirms it after a few minutes.

One-time setup in Seller Central

  1. Seller Central → Settings → Tax Settings (or Invoice Settings): enable upload your own invoices.
  2. If you use the Amazon VAT Calculation Service (VCS), Amazon creates the invoices itself. In that case Amazon rejects your own invoices, or your customer would get two invoices – so turn the upload in allverto off (see below) or turn off VCS in Seller Central.
  3. With your own app (self-authorisation): additionally give the app the Tax Invoicing role and authorise it again.

Turn on and off

Right-click the Amazon card → Connection settings… → Automatically upload invoices to Amazon switch → Save. The setting is on by default for Amazon channels. There you can also see how many documents have been uploaded so far and how many have an error.

See the status on the document and upload again

  • In Invoices and Credit notes, the Amazon upload column shows the status per document: Open, Being checked by Amazon, Uploaded or Error. Hover over the status to see the Amazon order number or Amazon's error message.
  • In the document window, the status appears at the bottom next to the status.
  • On Error: fix the cause (e.g. enable "upload your own invoices") and click Upload again in the column – or right-click → Upload to Amazon again.
  • Documents issued before you turned it on show Not queued. With Upload to Amazon now (right-click) you upload them individually afterwards – this also works when the automatic upload is off in the channel.

allverto automatically retries temporary disruptions (Amazon overloaded, connection lost) at increasing intervals; only after several unsuccessful attempts is the document set to Error.

Connect with your own app (self-authorisation)

If you have your own Amazon developer account, you can use your private SP-API app instead of the allverto app:

  1. In Seller Central: Apps and Services → Develop Apps → create an app with the roles Inventory and Order Tracking, Product Listing, – for addresses – Direct-to-Consumer Shipping and – for the invoice upload – Tax Invoicing.
  2. View the LWA credentials: copy the client ID and client secret.
  3. Choose Authorize for the app and copy the refresh token (starts with Atzr|).
  4. Copy the merchant token from Settings → Account Info → Merchant Token.
  5. In allverto, in the Connect Amazon window, choose Own app (self-authorisation) at the top, paste the LWA client ID, LWA client secret, Refresh token and Merchant token, click Test connection and Connect.

allverto stores all credentials encrypted.

Manage the connection

Right-click the Amazon card → Connection settings…: change marketplaces, FBA import and invoice upload and click Save – as well as Reconnect with Amazon if the authorisation was revoked (not with your own app: there you connect with a new refresh token). Everything else (sync, log, pause, disconnect) works as for the other channels, see Connect shops and marketplaces. Every sync appears in the sync log, in the System log and in the Sync overview.

Frequently asked questions

"Amazon denies access"

The authorisation was revoked in Seller Central under Manage Your Apps, or the app lacks a role. Connect again via Connection settings → Reconnect with Amazon.

"Amazon is currently limiting requests"

Amazon only allows a few requests per minute. allverto waits automatically and tries again; whatever doesn't work is caught up by the next sync.

An order has no name and no street.

The app lacks the Direct-to-Consumer Shipping role (see above). The address is in Seller Central.

An invoice shows "Error".

Hover over Error to see Amazon's message. Most common causes: upload your own invoices is not enabled in Seller Central, the VAT Calculation Service (VCS) is on, or your own app doesn't have the Tax Invoicing role. After fixing it, click Upload again.

Are pro forma invoices or drafts uploaded too?

No. Only finalised invoices, credit notes and cancellation invoices.

Can I create new offers on Amazon from allverto?

Yes, under Sales → Marketplace listings – individually or via templates, also attached to existing products (ASIN). See Marketplace listings. allverto syncs stock and price for offers you create in Seller Central (with the item number as SKU) in the same way.
