Own database (Flotte plan)
On the Flotte plan your company's data is stored in its own database – at no extra charge. How it is set up, what the move means and how to see the status.
On the Flotte plan your company gets its own database: orders, items, stock, documents and all other company data are then no longer stored in the platform's shared database but in a database just for you – on allverto's own database cluster at Hetzner in the Falkenstein data centre in Germany. The own database is included in the plan price; there is no surcharge.
What changes for you
In day-to-day work nothing: allverto looks and works exactly the same. Sign-in, users, subscription and invoices stay central at allverto; only your company's data is kept separately. Files such as images and documents stay in the existing storage.
Set-up and move
After switching to the Flotte plan, allverto sets up the own database. You don't need to do anything.
- allverto creates the database. This usually takes 10 to 30 minutes.
- For the move itself, allverto copies all your company data and checks every table row by row. During the copy, data can only be read – saving is briefly blocked, and allverto shows the notice "Your company's data is currently moving to its own database".
- allverto only switches over once everything matches. If something doesn't match, everything stays as before.
Depending on the amount of data, the lock lasts a few minutes. allverto agrees the date with you beforehand.
View the status
Open gear → Subscription & invoices. On the Flotte plan you'll find it below the plan:
| Display | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Own database: active | Your data is in the own database, with the date of the move. |
| Own database: being set up | You have the Flotte plan; the move is still pending. |
| Own database: move in progress | The data is being moved right now; until it is finished it can only be read. |
Backups
The own database is backed up daily in encrypted form – in Hetzner's Nuremberg data centre, i.e. at a second location in Germany. The backups are kept for 35 days.
Frequently asked questions
Does the own database cost extra? No, it is included in the Flotte plan.
Can I access the database myself? No. For reports and interfaces there is the public API and the export.
What happens when switching to a smaller plan? allverto moves the data back to the shared database – with the same brief read-only lock and the same check. The own database is then deleted.
