Tables: columns, selection and right-click

GuideLast checked on 15/10/2026

Move, show, hide and rename columns, select rows as in Windows Explorer, edit directly in the table and use the context menu.

All lists in allverto – orders, items, customers, documents, storage bins and more – work the same way. What you learn here applies everywhere.

Selecting and opening rows

ActionEffect
Clickselects only this row
Ctrl + clickadds or removes a row
Shift + clickselects a range
Double-click or Enteropens the row (e.g. the order window)
Ctrl+Aall visible rows
Escclear the selection
Arrow keys, Page Up, Home, Endmove; extend with Shift

When rows are selected, the table footer turns into the action bar with the count and the actions for all selected rows. On touch devices, a long press starts selection mode.

Context menu

Right-clicking a row shows all actions for this row – if it is part of the selection, the actions apply to all selected rows. Anything that isn't possible right now stays visible and names the reason. At the bottom there are always Copy value and Copy row. Via keyboard you open the menu with Shift+F10 or the context menu key.

Adjusting columns

Directly in the table header

  • Move: grab the column header and drag it to the new position.
  • Width: drag at the right edge of the column header; double-click fits the width to the content.
  • Sort: click the column header.

Right-click on the table header

Here you find: sort ascending and descending, hide column, pin left, fit width, Rename column…, Columns ▸ (tick boxes to show and hide), Configure columns… and Reset to default.

The column editor

Configure columns… opens the column editor: available columns on the left, displayed columns on the right. Drag columns back and forth, change the order, set your own names, widths and formats (e.g. short or relative date). Many lists have additional columns that are hidden at first – such as customer number, delivery address or tracking number for orders.

Company default

allverto saves your columns for you personally. With the user management permission you can choose All users of the company instead of Only me under Save for at the bottom of the column editor – then all colleagues without their own settings see this view. Reset to default returns to the company default.

Editing directly in the table

In some lists cells are editable, e.g. name, price, reorder point and status for items, or walking route and bin type for storage bins:

  1. Double-click the cell, F2 or simply start typing.
  2. Enter saves, Tab saves and jumps to the next editable cell, Esc cancels.
  3. If saving fails, allverto shows a message and the old value.
