TSE export, failure log and ELSTER notification for the POS
Back up TSE data regularly as a TAR file, document TSE failures, report POS registers and the TSE via “Mein ELSTER” (data sheet under § 146a (4) AO), enter an external POS ID and decommission a POS or the TSE.
Besides the receipt, the German tax office requires two things from you: to back up the TSE data regularly and to report every POS together with its TSE via “Mein ELSTER” (the tax authorities' online portal). You find both in the TSE tab of each POS under Sales → Settings.
Creating a TSE export
The TSE's memory is not an archive. Back up the signed logs regularly – at least monthly.
- Open a POS's TSE tab, TSE export section.
- Click Create export. fiskaly creates the file in the background – this may take a few minutes.
- Get the current status with Refresh. When the status is ready, download the file in the File column via TAR.
- Store the TAR file (BSI TR-03153) securely and unalterably.
For each export the list shows when it was Requested, the status, By whom and when it was Downloaded. Above it is the Last saved export.
Anyone whose role has the permission Cash book, POS reports and DSFinV-K export may export.
Failure log
The Failure log section lists the TSE failures of the last 12 months: POS, period, number of affected receipts and whether the failure is resolved or still ongoing. Via CSV you download the log – e.g. for your tax advisor or a cash register inspection.
ELSTER notification
You must notify the tax office of the acquisition and decommissioning of every POS via “Mein ELSTER” (§ 146a (4) AO). allverto compiles a Data sheet per POS for this.
- In the POS's TSE tab, under ELSTER notification (§ 146a (4) AO), fill in:
- Acquisition date
- Device: manufacturer and Device: model (tablet, PC or POS terminal)
- Device serial number – empty = allverto POS ID
- External POS ID (see below)
- Save.
- Under Notification and decommissioning, enter the BSI certification ID of the TSE (found in the TSE provider's certificate, e.g. BSI-K-TR-…) and Save.
- Check the Data sheet on the right: taxpayer with tax number, business premises, type, software, serial number, acquisition / decommissioning, TSE, TSE serial number, BSI certification ID and in service since. If something is missing, Complete before reporting appears at the top with a list.
- Download the data sheet via PDF and transfer the details into “Mein ELSTER”.
- After reporting, enter Reported via ELSTER on – for your own records.
The tax number and company name come from the company data, the business premises from the branch's address. Anyone allowed to Set up the POS (branches, registers, TSE, terminals, receipt) may change these details.
External POS ID
If you are moving from another POS system and the previous POS ID should appear in the DSFinV-K export, enter it under External POS ID. It then appears as the POS ID (Z_KASSE_ID) in the export. Letters, digits, dot, hyphen and underscore are allowed (at most 40 characters). Empty = allverto POS ID.
Decommissioning a POS
If you switch off POS active in the General tab or delete the POS, allverto deregisters its client at the TSE, sets the decommissioning date in the data sheet and records it in the POS log. A deactivated POS no longer appears in the POS selection and cannot be opened on any device; receipts and closings are kept. Report the decommissioning via ELSTER within one month. If you switch the POS back on, allverto registers it at the TSE again.
Decommissioning the TSE
If you no longer use the TSE (change of provider, closing the business):
- First create and download a final TSE export.
- Under Notification and decommissioning, click Decommission and confirm.
- Report the decommissioning via ELSTER within one month.
