Production on the tablet (shop floor)

GuideLast checked on 17/10/2026

Reporting from the shop floor runs in the production app at the terminal or tablet – set up, produce and pause operations, report quantities and issue material by scan.

On the shop floor you report production in the production app – on its own address wbs.…, at the work centre's terminal or on a tablet. From the ERP you open it via the Production app button in the header or under Production. The former production area in the warehouse app no longer exists.

Before you start

  • Production add-on module and at least one work centre.
  • Permissions: View production orders to view, Plan production and report progress to post (e.g. role Production).
  • Only released production orders appear. They are released in the ERP under Production (see Production order).

How it works

  1. Sign in at the terminal with your badge or name + PIN (on your own tablet with email and password).
  2. Choose the operation in the work queue.
  3. Start setup, then Start production; for an interruption Pause with a reason, then Resume.
  4. Report quantity with good and scrap quantity, as a partial quantity or with Operation finished. The last operation posts the completion report into the warehouse.

The actual times and quantities appear immediately in the order window on the desktop and flow into the actual costing and the working times evaluation. The warehouse brings material to the production workstation with the warehouse app (Provide material).
