Connect the allverto Shop

GuideLast checked on 22/10/2026

Connect your own allverto Shop (downloaded or hosted by us) to allverto – categories, items, prices, stock and images go to the shop automatically, while orders, payments and new customers come back.

The allverto Shop is the online shop that goes with allverto. You connect it like any other sales channel – allverto then maintains the complete catalogue in the shop and fetches the orders. So you don't have to create items twice.

The connection runs via the shop's sync interface (dbeS) with a Sync user. This works the same way for shops you run yourself and for shops we host for you.

What is synchronised?

DirectionWhatWhen
allverto → shopCategories (tree, texts, SEO data, visibility and discount per customer group, category image)every 10 minutes and after stock changes – only what has changed
allverto → shopItems: master data, texts (German and every active shop language), manufacturer, characteristics, attributes, GTIN, weight, dimensions, tax classlikewise
allverto → shopGross prices per customer group, tiered prices, special prices with a time period, channel prices of this shoplikewise
allverto → shopVariants (parent items with variations, child items), bills of materials/sets with calculated stock, configurable items with their componentslikewise
allverto → shopImages (main image first, only new files are uploaded)likewise
allverto → shopavailable stock (with overselling, at least the configured quantity)likewise, as a fast stock sync
shop → allvertonew orders with customer, billing and shipping address, lines incl. variants, shipping method, payment method, vouchers/coupons and comment – allverto then confirms the import in the shopevery 2 minutes
shop → allvertoincoming payments (e.g. PayPal) – the order becomes "Paid"with the orders
shop → allvertonewly registered customers (recognised by email address, otherwise created)with the orders
allverto → shopShipping: status "shipped" with carrier, tracking number and tracking link; the customer sees the shipment tracking in their customer account and receives the shipping confirmationon shipping
allverto → shopCancellation: orders cancelled in allverto are cancelled in the shopwith the next order sync
allverto → shopInvoices, credit notes and cancellation documents as PDF in the order details of the customer account (switch Transfer invoices to the customer account)after issuing

allverto removes archived items, and items you switch off for this shop in the item's Channels tab, from the shop. Categories you hide for the shop disappear together with their subcategories.

Before you start

  • You need the permission Connect sales channels (usually Owner and Administration).
  • In the shop backend, create the sync user once: Administration › Synchronisation (Administration › Synchronisation) – set a user name and a secure password, then save.
  • The shop must be reachable from the internet (shops hosted by us always are).

Step by step: connect the shop

  1. In allverto, open Settings › Sales channels and click Connect shop.
  2. Choose allverto Shop.
  3. Enter:
    • Name in allverto, e.g. "Web shop",
    • Shop URL without "/admin", e.g. https://mein-shop.de,
    • Sync user and Password from the shop backend.
  4. Click Test connection. allverto tells you whether the interface responds and the login is correct.
  5. Choose the Order colour if needed and click Connect.

allverto immediately fetches the first orders and then transfers the catalogue. The result appears in the channel's Sync log, e.g. "13 items in the shop. Transferred: 4 categories, 13 items, 1 image …".

Connection settings

Via the channel's … menu › Connection settings… you open two tabs – laid out like in JTL-Wawi.

"Connection" tab

  • Shop name in allverto – how the shop appears in lists, filters and orders.
  • Shop URL, Sync user, New password – for example after moving the shop. If left empty, the stored password is kept.
  • Transfer catalogue – when switched off, allverto only fetches orders and reports shipping (e.g. if you maintain the catalogue in the shop for now).
  • Transfer customer groups from allverto – allverto replaces the shop's customer groups with your customer groups. Groups with "Händler" (dealer), "B2B" or "Gastro" in their name see net prices in the shop. The customer group's discount applies in the shop in addition to its prices (as in JTL-Shop).
  • Transfer invoices to the customer account – invoices, credit notes and cancellations appear in the customer's order details in the shop after they are issued.
  • Items per data batch – choose a smaller value if your hosting provider has short time limits.
  • Root category – as in JTL-Wawi: the subcategories of the chosen category appear at the top level in the shop; allverto does not transfer the root category itself or anything outside it. (none – whole category tree) transfers all categories switched on for the shop. If you change the root, the next sync removes categories that no longer fit from the shop.

"Languages, customer groups & taxes" tab

  • Languages – tick Active for every language your shop should appear in. allverto sends the languages to the shop itself and includes the item texts in every active language. Default is the language the shop opens in for visitors. German is the language of your item data and is always active. Which languages are listed is set under Languages for item texts.
  • Customer groups – Active means the group is sent to the shop with its prices. Default is the group for guests and new customers; its prices are the normal prices in the shop (shop group "Endkunden"). Without your own choice, allverto uses a group named "Endkunden" or "Privatkunden".
  • Tax classes in the shop – nothing to set up here. allverto sends the tax classes "Standard rate", "Reduced rate" and "Tax-free" with the rates from Settings › Taxes to the shop. Without OSS, deliveries within the EU use your company's rates; with OSS, the rates of the respective EU country; outside the EU 0 %. The table shows the rates in your company's country.
  • Currencies – the shop sells in euros.

Under Transfer invoices retroactively, you use Transfer to send already issued invoices, credit notes and cancellations for orders from this shop for a period (by document date) to the customer account after the fact. Failed ones are retried; with Resend already transferred ones, those already transferred go out again too. Below, you can see how many were transferred, are pending or failed.

Full sync

Normally allverto only sends changes. With a full sync you send selected areas to the shop again in full – handy if something was changed manually in the shop.

  1. Open Settings › Sales channels.
  2. Click the shop's … menu (or right-click the shop) and choose Full sync ….
  3. In the "Prepare full sync" window, tick the areas that should go to the shop again – Everything, global data (languages, taxes, customer groups, delivery status), manufacturers, characteristics, categories, category images, items, item images or stock and prices.
  4. Click Start full sync. The sync starts right away and a window shows the progress (see Progress window).

Reset shop

If your shop was previously filled by JTL-Wawi, items and categories often appear twice after the migration, or items you switched off in allverto are still visible. In that case, reset the shop:

  1. Open Settings › Sales channels.
  2. Click the shop's … menu (or right-click the shop) and choose Reset shop ….
  3. Read the confirmation prompt and click Reset and transfer again.

allverto deletes all categories and items in the shop that it knows – the ones it transferred itself and the ones from your JTL-Wawi (IDs from the migration). It then transfers everything that is active for the shop again. The URL paths come from allverto (see URL path). The window shows the steps Deleting categories, Deleting items, Categories, Items, Stock & prices and Images.

How orders are imported

  • Items are matched by item number; for variants it's the number of the child item.
  • Shipping costs become a separate line, coupons and vouchers deduction lines. allverto imports fees (e.g. cash on delivery) as a custom line.
  • Payment method, shipping method, customer comment and the shop order number appear in the order's note.
  • Delivery options such as express, Saturday delivery, safe-place permission or preferred date are recognised by allverto from the shipping method and the customer comment and set on the order – matching your delivery options catalogue under Sales → Settings → Delivery options. You can then filter by them in pick list templates.
  • Each order is imported only once: after the import, allverto confirms it in the shop (status there "in progress").

Good to know

  • allverto assigns its own numbers in the shop starting from 100001 for items, categories, manufacturers, etc. Items that were already created in the shop before (e.g. sample data) stay unchanged – delete them in the shop backend if needed.
  • The shop takes the item URL from the item's URL path (item window › Description tab › Search engines (SEO)). During the JTL migration allverto takes it over from the Wawi so existing links stay the same. If it is empty, the shop builds the URL from the item name. If you rename an item, the shop automatically creates a redirect from the old address.
  • allverto transfers characteristics if Use as item characteristic in the online shop is switched on for them and they have fixed values (selection). Free-text characteristics don't appear in the shop.
  • The shop doesn't yet calculate base price information (price per kg/l) from allverto; enter it as an attribute on the item if needed.

Troubleshooting

MessageCause and solution
"The shop rejects the login"The sync user's user name or password is wrong. Check in the shop backend under Administration › Synchronisation and re-enter them in the connection settings.
"… temporarily locked due to too many failed attempts"After five failed logins, the shop locks briefly. Wait a few minutes, then test again with the correct password.
"No shop interface was found at this address"The address doesn't point to the shop's root directory. Enter the address without subpages.
"The shop redirects the interface"Enter the address exactly as the shop can be reached (e.g. with https:// or without www).
"The shop reports a server error"Details are in the shop backend under System › Logbuch (log). A smaller number for "Items per data batch" often helps.

All runs are listed in the channel's Sync log, in the sync overview, and errors additionally in the system log.
